Two years after burying her son, Captivating owner Serena DeGarmo embarked on a God-size journey of hope and healing. The previous two years she had many days she wanted to climb in the grave. But she didn't. She wanted to follow him to heaven. But she couldn't. She struggled to survive and she did. Then one day God said, "Embrace beauty." He said it over and over. Embrace beauty.
She traded in pajamas for new clothes. She put on lipstick and fixed her hair. She weathered the storm. She embraced beauty. Then God said, “Now, get out of the boat.” Get out of your comfort. Get out of your house. Get out of yourself. Then God said, do it in a salon and the vision for Captivating Salon & Boutique was born. Women who are overworked, fighting cancer, lonely, grieving, tired and struggling need to feel beauty again too.
